Customs & Import Tax

Customs, Duties & Taxes

⚠️ Important Notice for Canada Customers:
Since we ship from our United States warehouse, Canadian orders are considered international shipments. You may be required to pay import duties and taxes (GST/HST) upon delivery.

1. Buyer's Responsibility

Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are not included in our product price or shipping cost. Urgown is not responsible for these additional charges.

As the importer of record, the buyer is responsible for complying with all laws and regulations of the destination country. You will be responsible for paying any applicable import duties and taxes to the carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) upon delivery.

Note for US Customers: Since we ship from a US warehouse, domestic orders within the United States are free of import duties.

2. Tax Assessment

Tax rules vary by country and are determined by your local government. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We are unable to advise you on the specific tax codes or amounts for your country.

We recommend contacting your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting.

3. Refusal of Package due to Tax

If a package is returned to us because the buyer refused to pay customs duties or taxes:

  • The buyer will be responsible for the original shipping cost AND the return shipping cost.
  • These costs will be deducted from your refund amount.
  • If the cost of returning the package exceeds the value of the goods, the package may be abandoned by the carrier, and no refund will be issued.

4. Customs Declaration

By law, we are required to declare the actual value of the goods on all packages. We cannot mark packages as "Gift" or lower the value to evade customs duties. Please do not ask us to do so.
